Voters narrowly re-elected President Donald Trump, a race-baiting, mendacious, populist demagogue they knew over Vice President Kamala Harris, an eminently qualified and skilled politician who spoke of policies to lift all Americans while preserving democratic values and the rule of law. And, as David Smith of the Guardian observed, voters narrowly chose fear over hope by re-electing Trump.
