LaborFest Writers Group Reading July 16 @ 7:30 pm - 9:00 pm PDT
The Labor Movement is alive and well in the Bay Area. Enlightened people of all ages, colors, and genders are using their best creative selves to speak about the issues we are facing during these difficult times.
Come and listen to their poetry, memoir, fiction and nonfiction. Admission is free.
Now is your chance to hear rabble-rousers, activists, leftist radicals, union members, immigrants, native-born and plain old trouble-makers share their creative work that is rooted in conscience, moral fiber and courage.
Location: Bird & Beckett Bookstore – 653 Chenery St., San Francisco

Current members: Alice Elizabeth Rogoff, Barbara Saunders, Jerry Path, Keith David Cooley, Margaret Cooley, Nellie Wong, Robert Eugenio Rubino and Susan Ford.
Editor's note: Patricia Vaccarino reviewed Barbara Saunders book of poetry Hearing Voices earlier this year.
